Jim Hoogerhyde set a new land speed record in California, piloting a solar-powered electric production motorcycle, reaching 189.086 miles per hour in 1.3 miles at El Mirage.  The motorcycle is the Lightening SuperBike, created by Lightning Motorcycles.  Pictures and more at the Discovery news site.  Congratulations Slim!
